Our next unit is Data Management. The students will be learning how to create Stem and Leaf plots, Double bar graphs and how to interpret information from these graphs. As we complete the lessons, I will be posting summary pages here. Please check back regularly.

Our next unit is Multiplication and Division. We have been brushing up on our basic facts (0-9) in class in the hope that the students will have quick recall of them when we start getting more in depth with our unit after Christmas. Please practice these with your children.
Math Prodigy www.prodigygame.com Class code AA3B70 The students are asked to play the Math Prodigy game on a regular basis for homework. I align the questions to what we are working on each week. If the game does not work for you, please let me know. This is an excellent resource but the majority of students are not using it regularly. Our test for Patterning will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 27. There will be 2 parts so it will continue on Wednesday.
There are practice questions for students on Prodigy. There are also review sheets posted below. We have started our unit on Patterning. The students are learning about growing and repeating patterns. I have linked the Sum It Up pages of the two lessons we have covered so far.
We have been using a program called MathUp in our math lessons. Below you will find link to pages outlining what we have been learning so far.
Prodigy is an excellent math game where I can assign students questions based on what we are learning in the moment. I encourage students to play on a regular basis as a form of review. Many students played this last year so they will be able to keep their profile but they need to use our class code so I can see their activity and progress.

The students are currently learning how to rename numbers. For example, 4 000 can be represented as 4 thousands, but also 40 hundreds, and 400 tens.
